Rained last night and this morning. Weather ranging between 50F to 70F. Mostly flannel shirt weather for me. Puddles in back yard were gone by night-time but ground still squishy in spots. North hosta garden. Volunteer fern. All rhubarb plants in northwest garden seem to be surviving.
Finished planting west garden with remaining greenhouse plants and volunteers; kale, orache, and red mustard from clover patch and volunteer tomatoes from patio garden. Last night turned I had turned the soil over and planted sedums next to house but couldn't finish. Sun came out later today so checked the soil and it was ok. Got rid of the worse lumps before covering with newspaper and a light layer of dirt. Cut holes and planted greenhouse seedlings. Then dug up volunteer greens from clover patch and planted them in slits in the newspaper. Then put a light layer of chips on between the plants.
Seedlings from green house: snow and gold dust alyssum, strawberry blonde sunflower, leeks, colorado rhubarb, german chamomile, thyme, possibly an arbol pepper.... the only one that sprouted, sweet majoram, lemon gem marigold, blue spice, greek, and lime basil. May need to thin these out later, but the plants had seemed to stop growing probably due to extreme temperatures in greenhouse so figured I'd plant them and see what happens.
Colorado wild spinach doing well. It seems to have an upright growth habit.
