west gardens: Lots of Nasturium blossoms, yummy! Broccoli floret. Carrots, volunteer tomato, swiss chard, and ground cherry growing well. Beans and peas seedlings also. Beets very slowly. Something is eating the radish leaves.
Patio garden. Lots of chamomile. Last week,s storm blew down the tomatoes so I trimmed and tied them up. Tomatoes still green. Beets doing well.
Onions flowering among lemon balm which is to the left of asparagus garden. Hidden orache in west bedroom garden.
Picked 4 pints of beans. Put them in casserole dish with some water in the bottom and covered them. Cooked in microwave at about 2' intervals until they were al dente. Then froze flat in zip lock baggies before scooping out into square pint containers for long term storage. Thinned out some beets. The red ones have the most beet flavor. The white and orange flesh ones had a more mild flavor. Picked a bunch of blossoms and cooked them in rice. They did not stay peppery after cooked and rice was not flavored. Picked some chives for supper.
