Starry Stitch, combination of SC, HDC, & DC; Another name for sedge?

Looks like Sedge Stitch crocheted on 6/11/14?

K hook
4 ply lavender yarn

chain 12
Row 1:

• Hdc & Dc in 3rd chain from hook, skip 2 chain, 
• *Sc, Hdc, Dc in single ch, skip 2 ch* repeat
• end with Sc in last ch

Row2:

• ch 1, then hdc, dc in same place
• *sc, hdc, dc in sc of previous row* repeat
• end with sc

I like this stitch, quick, easy.
Looks the same on both sides.
It's a thicker stitch.
