Techniques

Here's some basic techniques in no particular order. My basic interest in crocheting is to use patterns as a guide and crochet my own design. Therefore it is helpful to learn various techniques.

Holding the yarn

Increasing and decreasing
at outer edge to make a diamond shape
at outer edge to make Diagonal with a neat edge
Decreasing in center of row to make Square

Working in the round
Circles starting with chain ring and Magic Ring/Sliding Loop while working on one side
Ovals by working concentric rings
Squares by working in round and increasing at corners
