10/15/22 Summer plants mostly dead from frost and cooler weather. Lots of raspberries. Fall crops fine.

Gardens survived my absence and new fall plantings are thriving

Front Gardens - Some plants affected by frost but rhubarb must be in a protected area. It looks ok.

Patio gardens - regular marigolds dead and black from frost. Lemon Gem marigold still has blossoms. Basil, tomatillos, ground cherries are dead. Calendula, Helichrysum, dill, marjoram, thyme, new chamomile growing. Bees really like white, wild flowers growing in pot. Mint a little frost burned. New volunteer mustard plants growing. Radishes sprouted.

South Gardens - laid down cardboard to eliminate having to cut lawn in corner. Rhubarb hit by frost. Asparagus turning golden. Lemon balm doing well.

West gardens - Raspberries, marjoram, thyme, allysum, roots, and greens growing well. Sunflower seeds mostly eaten by birds. Nasturiums, sunflowers, pumpkin, and tithonia mostly dead from frost. I need to move gardens further away from fence so I can more easily weed flowers and herbs behind the beds. Creeping charlie and grass is really aggressive.

Orange hat tomato tastes better now. Potted it up to see if it will grow in house.

Harvest: Not sure if basil and tithonia made seeds or not. Lots of raspberries
