Spider, made of Single crochet and chain

Very important to chain foundation very loosely or material curves. I tried making chain with K hook then switching to smaller H hook to crochet but it still curved a lot. So just ripped it out and did a super loose foundation chain.

It's a pretty stitch but challenging to start & it can be difficult to see the chain gap between the 2 SC where you insert your needle.

K hook, lavender yarn. Odd number of stitches + 2 for chain in foundation row.

chain 15 stitches extremely loose

•  SC, ch, Sc in 3rd chain from hook
• Ch, skip space
• SC, ch, SC
• etc.

1st row really curved even with smaller H hook.

2nd row not really straightening out

Ripped it out again and started very loose chain with K hook.
